Winemaker:  Thomas Brown, former assistant winemaker at Turley, consults for Outpost, Chiarello, and Shrader; has 2 100 pt scores from Parker.  

 

Winemaking Techniques:  “The 2008 vintage was kind to hillside wines.  The heat provided as much ripeness as necessary to fully ripen tannin while elevation helped circumvent extremes of the strongest temperature spikes.  

 

Cases Produced:  150

 

Tasting Notes:  Saturated black/garnet hue with opening of classic cab character: scorched earth, blueberries, sweet tobacco and black currants.  Sweetness on the nose and palate with more red, blue, and black fruit flavors, sweet cream and cassis.  Good structure with long  round finish.
