2007 SARACINA

Mendocino County
/

Varietals:  Sauvignon Blanc

Appellation:  Mendocino County, Kathleen’s Vineyard

Winemaker:  Alex McGregor; with John Fetzer

Winemaking Techniques:  Whole cluster pressed, native yeast fermented, no new oak, no filtration

Tasting Notes:  Exhibits aromas of ripe Anjou pear, musk melon, white peach and wet stone notes.  The palate is a pure expression of freshness and flinty minerality, with vibrant acidity and our hallmark depth and concentration, both attributable to extended lees contact and minimal handling.  Bone dry with no sugar and Loire Valley minerality.
