Varietals: Pinot Noir
Appellation: Russian River Valley
Winemaker: George Levkoff, learned at Williams Seylem, Brogan Cellars, and Hirsch Vineyards
Winemaking Techniques: Unfined/unfiltered and unpumped; uses the method of gravity. The preference is toward low alcohol and low oak flavor.
Cases Produced: 83
Tasting Notes: Bright red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry pit and rose oil, with a sexy spicecake quality gaining strength with air. Sappy, gently chewy red and dark berry flavors are complicated by musky flowers, with a touch of cola adding sweetness. Finishes with very good breadth, molten tannins and a persistent spiciness.
